Haddington RFC is delighted to announce that it is one of two founder clubs, along with Ross High RFC, of “Bloody Rugby”
Bloody Rugby is a new organisation founded by Alan Bell, Gareth Glynn and Keith Wallace whose purpose is:
“To raise awareness of blood cancer in the rugby community, and harness rugby’s camaraderie to increase the donation of stem cells and blood”
They will be signing up rugby clubs to get their members involved, with each club having an Ambassador to be a single point of contact.
For some fun and competition, there will be a Premiership with points awarded for different donations.
We are delighted to confirm that Kenny Farquhar has agreed to be our Ambassador and will be chasing and cajoling would be donors, but meantime:
1. If you are aged between 17 and 65 and want to start donating blood please go here: Bloody Rugby Blood Donation
2. If you are aged between 17 and 55 and want to go on the stem cell register please go here: Bloody Rugby Stem Cell Register
3. If you are aged between 17 and 65 and want to start donating blood platelets please go here: Bloody Rugby Platelets Donation
