Josh Kerr ran the race of his life to land the 1500m title in Budapest on Wednesday night. Kerr, who also landed the Olympic bronze medal in Tokyo, ran a season best of 3 minutes, 29.28 seconds. Kerr stunned Norway's Olympic champion, Jakob Ingebrigtsen to take the top prize.

Josh is the son of former Haddington 1st XV player, John Kerr, who played for a successful Haddington team in the early 90s before moving on to Watsonians FC.

Josh's mum, Jill is also from Haddington and the daughter of Jackie Campbell, who played for Haddington all his days. The family connection to Haddington doesn't end there, as John's brother Alan, came up through the minis and colts to play for Haddington in the 90s as well.
